Welcome to the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Protozoa at IIB


In our laboratory we study different protozoan pathogens, particularly Trypanosoma cruzi, the agent of Chagas disease.

Our main aim is to elucidate structural and functional aspects of molecules that shape the interface between these protozoa and the vertebrate and/or insect host by using our best efforts, knowledge and available technologies... and throughout this process we try to learn and enjoy as much as possible!
